Electric Moon
As July comes to a close, I am reminded of the ending energy associated with full moons. This month has been wild—energy crackling on the periphery— a white-knuckled ride-or-die situation in every corner of my world.
Full moons mark the complete zenith of the celestial body’s monthly journey. This full moon, the Aquarian moon, will reach its fullness on July 29th. It promises to submit a CTA for the rebel in us all. You have been warned.
Many folks have their tried-and-true superstitions, and I do as well. I try desperately NOT to work on a full moon when I can help it, and as this one moves into the Water Bearer’s territory, it promises erratic and unpredictable chaos energy.
So, to make sure the rebellious side of me doesn’t align with this power source and commit highway robbery during the chaos, I have decided to lay low this week.
Off the grid ensures I do not delete my entire book series because the taste of toast irritated me, or shear off my hair as the heat demands it, or add ill-conceived ink to my tattoo collection.
No overthinking the whole idea of being an author.
No fights with the writing gremlin.
No queries.
No revisions.
No plot twists or snarky dialog.
No TikTok posts.
My plan? The four “R”s- read, run, rehydrate, and reconnect. Read for entertainment, not research. Run and re-hydrate. Reconnect with friends over coffee.
The world will right itself a day or so afterwards, when the moon moves towards its newness.
And by August, I shall emerge rested and hydrated.
